Conditions governing access to and use of this site, its contact form, the virtual assistant, and appointment requests.

01Site owner and acceptance of these terms
The owner and operator of this site is R&A S.C. (trade name R&A Asociados), a Mexican sociedad civil (civil-law professional partnership) with its registered address at Avenida Chemuyil Mza 9 Lote 79-80, Fracc. La Toscana, C.P. 77725, Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico, hereinafter referred to as “the firm.”
By accessing and using the site, you accept these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, we ask that you not use the site. The processing of your personal data is governed by the privacy notice.
02Informational nature of the content
The information published on this site—descriptions of practice areas and services, frequently asked questions, blog publications, and responses from the virtual assistant—is exclusively informational and general in nature. It does not constitute legal advice or a legal opinion on any specific case, and it should not be used as a substitute for a consultation with an attorney.
Laws and the criteria applied by the authorities change frequently. The firm strives to keep the content accurate and up to date, but cannot ensure that it is so at all times; we recommend that you verify that any information is current and consult an attorney before making decisions.
03No attorney-client relationship
Browsing this site, submitting the contact form, using the virtual assistant, or submitting an appointment request does not create an attorney-client relationship with the firm. Such a relationship is established only when the firm expressly accepts the engagement and both parties formalize the provision of services.
Until then, we ask that you not send confidential or privileged information, or documents relating to your matter, through the site. Sending a message or an appointment request does not prevent the firm from advising or representing other persons, even in related matters. In any event, the information you provide is treated confidentially: the firm does not disclose it or transmit it to third parties, except with your authorization or when required by a competent authority (requerimiento), and will not use it to your detriment. Your personal data is also processed in accordance with the privacy notice.
04Professional services
The legal services described on this site are provided only after the firm has accepted the engagement and under the conditions—scope, fees, and method of payment—agreed with each client before the service begins.
This site does not publish fees and does not constitute an offer of services at a set price. No services are contracted and no payments are made through the site.
05Virtual assistant
The virtual assistant is an automated tool. It provides general information about the firm's practice areas, its business hours, and how to contact it, and helps you request an appointment. Its responses are generated automatically (currently, predefined replies), may contain inaccuracies, and do not constitute legal advice or an opinion on your case.
The assistant does not request, and should not receive, sensitive or financial data, an RFC (Mexican taxpayer ID number), a CURP (national population ID number), or passwords. While it operates with predefined replies, conversations are not sent to the firm; the data in any appointment request you choose to submit is processed in accordance with the privacy notice. The firm may modify, suspend, or withdraw the assistant at any time.
06Appointment requests
Appointments requested through the site or the virtual assistant are requests subject to confirmation. The firm will reply by email, during business hours, to confirm them or propose another date. An unconfirmed request does not constitute any commitment on the part of the firm.
Requesting an appointment is free of charge and does not oblige you to engage the firm. Should the consultation involve a fee, the firm will inform you in writing when confirming the appointment, before it takes place.
The firm may decline a request for objective and non-discriminatory reasons, such as a conflict of interest, the matter falling outside the practice areas the firm handles, lack of availability in its schedule, or a legal or ethical impediment.
07Intellectual property
The texts, structure, design, illustrations, logo, and the name R&A Asociados that appear on this site are the property of the firm or are used with the authorization of their owners, and are protected by Mexican law and international treaties on intellectual property.
You may consult and reproduce the content for personal, non-commercial use, citing the source. Any other reproduction, distribution, modification, or communication to the public requires the firm's prior written authorization.
08Permitted use of the site
By using the site, you agree to:
- Not use it for unlawful purposes or for purposes contrary to these terms.
- Not enter false information in the contact form, the virtual assistant, or appointment requests, or impersonate another person.
- Not attempt to access restricted areas, interfere with the operation of the site or the assistant, or carry out large-scale automated extraction of its content.
09Links to third-party sites and services
The site may contain links to official sites, publications, or third-party services (for example, WhatsApp), which are provided solely for your convenience. The firm does not control those sites or services; accordingly, their content, availability, and privacy policies are the responsibility of those who operate them, and we recommend that you review those policies.
10Scope of the site and liability
The site is a free source of general information. The firm strives to keep it available and up to date, but does not undertake that it will operate without interruption or free of technical errors, and does not control the linked third-party sites and services.
The informational content of the site and the responses of the virtual assistant are not a substitute for advice from an attorney; therefore, decisions should not be made based solely on them.
Nothing in the foregoing excludes or limits:
- Liability for willful misconduct (dolo), bad faith, or gross negligence.
- Professional liability for negligence, lack of professional skill, or willful misconduct in the services the firm provides to its clients.
- The firm's obligations regarding the protection of personal data, as described in the privacy notice.
- Liability for the accuracy of the information the firm publishes about its own services.
- Any other liability or right that the law declares non-waivable.
11Personal data
The processing of the personal data you provide through the site is governed by the privacy notice, which identifies the data controller, the purposes of processing, and the means to exercise your rights of access, rectification, cancellation, and objection.
12Non-waivable rights
Nothing in these terms implies a waiver of rights that mandatory public-policy laws recognize as non-waivable—including, to the extent applicable, the Ley Federal de Protección al Consumidor (Federal Consumer Protection Law, LFPC) and the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares (Federal Law on the Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties, LFPDPPP)—nor does it limit the powers of the competent authorities under those laws.
If any provision of these terms is contrary to a public-policy rule, it shall be deemed not to have been included, and the remaining provisions shall remain valid.
13Amendments
The firm may amend these terms. Amendments will be published on this page with the date of their last update and will apply from the date of publication, going forward: they do not affect requests submitted previously or any professional services agreements the firm has entered into.
14Language
These terms are written in Spanish. Any translations into other languages that the site may offer are provided for information purposes only; in the event of any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
15Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For their interpretation and performance, the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts located in the city of Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, and waive any other venue to which they may be entitled by reason of their present or future domicile.
The foregoing is without prejudice to the jurisdiction that mandatory public-policy laws grant to other authorities or courts for the benefit of consumers and data subjects.
